As a revision for the P5s and preview for my P4s:
Here’s a video on wayang kulit, a traditional Indonesia art of shadow dancing.
Questions for reflection:
- What are the (three) things needed to have a wayang kulit show?
- In a show like this, the audience is sitting on the side of the screen opposite to the light source. What kind of material would be suitable to be used as the screen, and why? (Hint: what is being projected onto the screen?)

Karen > Eureka!
What kind of light source? Will candlelight do? How about a burning bush?
What material would be suitable for making the puppet and the screen (recall your P3 topic on Materials and P4 topic on Light)?
And for getting it right, the prize is…
The satisfaction of learning!

The screen should be translucent and white so the audiences can see the puppet which is behind the screen.
